    2. Carolyn, If you ever run upon a William Brown that at some point lived in the Culpeper Co, VA area, and was born prior to 1769, please let either Gerald L. Brown or me know about the discovery!!! There were so many William Brown's. Think I told you that I am in BrownDNASociety group #55 as Samuel James Brown, Jr. Gerald is also in the same group and we know our crossings, but each are having problems with finding out more about a William ? Brown supposedly born either in Culpeper Co, or Brunswick Co, VA.......... -- May God Bless you and yours! -------------- Original message from Carolyn Brown <cpink@flash.net>: -------------- My husband's Brown is his grandfather William Ethridge Brown (Also known as W E Brown) b May 25 or either 1859 or 1861 depending on which Pickens Co, AL census you use. William Ethridge Brown was born in TN to parents who were born in NC. > William died in Harris Co, TX in 1919. > Allen has 3 67/67 DNA matches that have not been able to connect, either to him nor to each other. One gentleman goes back to Bladen Co, NC about 1762 Edmund Brown, son of Thomas Brown. Allen has a 25/25 match with another gentleman in Johnston Co, NC whose ancestors have been there since the late 1700's, but again > we are unable to make the connection. > Any help would be appreciated. 3. Oh, those "William Browns"!!!! My William is" William C. Brown", b. 1792 in Rhode Island. In the 1830's he was in Cazenovia, Madison Co. New York, He was in Butler, Wayne, Co., NY in 1840, The 1860 census has him in Chelsea, Sharon, Michigan, living with his daughter, Mary Brown Stewart. I thought perhaps Peleg was his father, but am now wondering if Stukeley (son of Ebenezer) might be his father. ----- Appreciate any and all help.
