Good morning to all, Every now and then I have the need to rock the boat and I truly mean no offense to anybody so please just bear with me. John Barnett Brown and Penelope Ann Charlotte Sisson's daughter L. M. Brown was born about 1841 as per the GA 1850 census. This is the only record in which I have ever seen her listed. Family history says she is Lizzie Melissa Brown who married "Shuck Hay", died shortly after marriage around 1860 and is buried in Forrester's Chapel Cemetery in Randolph County, AL. Lizzie is also reported to have had three children - John, Mollie and Thomas. Lizzie may have married "Shuck" Hay. She may have died not long after they married. She may be buried in Forrester's Chapel Cemetery. There are 76 unmarked graves in that cemetery, who can say? I do not think that the Lizzie Hay buried with just a stone and her name [no dates] is Lizzie daughter of John and Penelope. She most likely belongs to John and Mary Ann Stewart Hay of Randolph County, AL. They had G. William Thomas, Nancy A Elizabeth [Lizzie], Martha Delilah [Mattie], Molley, Vicie Louella [Ella] and John Calvin. In three different areas in the cemetery there are Lizzie, Ella and Martha Hay [no dates]; Tommy, Mary A, and Johnny Hay [no dates] and then Molly Hay [no dates]. I believe Mary A. Hay is the mother and the others are six of her children. Does any one have any records which prove L. M. Brown is Lizzie Melissa Brown along with any other records for her? Just to rock the boat a little bit more, John Barnett Brown is John and not Johnathan/Jonathan. I have been to his and Penelope's graves in Malone. I have also never seen him listed as anything else in any records. Since John died in 1895 and Penelope in 1908, are there any photos of them in existence? Thank you for hearing me out.
