Central Daylight Time, cardiels@comcast.net writes: I've "rescued" an old photograph of Golden DAY which was taken at the Fox & Symons Studio in Salt Lake City, Utah. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900's with Golden appearing to be less than 1 year old at the time the photograph was taken. In addition to his name, someone has written "Mother's Brother" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Golden and his family: Golden Stringfellow DAY was b. 7 Aug 1899 in Draper, UT to parents James Henry DAY (b. 23 Aug 1853 in Draper, UT) and Lucy STRINGFELLOW (b. 15 Jan 1856 in Sutton, England). The couple had 9 children including, James Henry Jr.; Lucy Ellen; Leah Viola; Lollie Mable; Joseph Boyce; Golden Stringfellow; George; Martha; and Hannah Percilda DAY, all born between 1875 and 1899 in Mill Creek or Draper, UT. Golden married Sarah Emma BROWN (b. 4 Feb 1897 in Draper, UT) on 15 Nov 1918 in Salt Lake City, UT and together they had 3 children including, Druehl James; Janice; and Ralph DAY all born in Salt Lake City, UT between 1920 and 1926. Golden DAY died 23 April 1972 in El Paso, TX. Census records provide the following information: 1900 census of Draper, UT: James H. DAY, age 46, born Aug 1853, married 26 years, born UT, parents born ME/IL, a Stock Rainer Lucy DAY, wife, age 44, born Jan 1856, married 26 years, 9 children/7 living, born England, parents born England, to USA 1864 James H. DAY, son, age 22, born Nov 1877, born UT, a Sheep-herder Grisilda DAY, dau, age 18, born Nov 1881, born UT Leah V. DAY, dau, age 13, born Jun 1886, born UT, at School Lollie M. DAY, dau, age 12, born Apr 1888, born UT, at School Joseph B. DAY, son, age 6, born Aug 1893, born UT Golden DAY, son, age 9 months, born Aug 1899, born UT 1910 census of Salt Lake City, UT: Lucy DAY, age 54, a widow, 9 children/7 living, born England, parents born England, Own Income Viola DAY, dau, age 23, born UT, parents born UT/England, a Dressmaker Lollie DAY, dau, age 21, born UT, parents born UT/England Joseph B. DAY, son, age 16, born UT, parents born UT/England Golden DAY, son, age 10, born UT, parents born UT/England 1920 census of Salt Lake City, UT: Lucy DAY, age 64, a widow, to USA 1880, born England, parents born England Viola L.
