He married a woman named Augusta b. 1840 GA. The children: Jackson C. b. 1860 FL, Albert b. 1862 FL, Susan b. 1864 FL, Minny b. 1866 FL, Harriet b. 1888 FL. The only place I can find this family is on the 1870 Alachua Co. FL census. Before or after has not been found! Jackson C. is my line. I know nothing of the other children and wished I did! I would like to find Alex's parents, Augusta's last name (German?), and where Alex was before and after 1870 census. Alex and Augusta are my gg-grandparents. Jackson C. is my line and I do have material on him although I can't find him after 1888. His children were placed in an orphanage in Macon, GA before the 1900 census. Except for my grandfather and his two brothers and one sister, I can't find too much on these children either. I am not very good at Ancestry and avoid like the plague to put any information on line at their site. They love to use every bit of it and some is incorrect! Maybe you have an idea where to look on Ancestry that I have missed. Thanks for anything you can do to help me over the brick wall! A very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year! Nora
