Very little of what you're paying for with an Ancestry subscription is user-uploaded information. Most of the user-uploaded information is on RootsWeb and is still free. I'm a little confused by your use of the phrase, "my own information." Facts cannot be owned by anyone, and I don't see how you can tell whether a fact was gathered by you or by someone else, especially when you say you've never uploaded anything to Ancestry. But if you already have so much information that you can't benefit from subscribing to Ancestry, by all means don't subscribe. I find my subscription worth every penny.
