Well, I am a Brown descendant, but I only have Browns documented back to 1795, with my gggrandfather, John Brown and his birth in Carnwath, Lanarkshire. His father was John Brown; his mother, Agnes Baxter, b. 1768. No marriage date or birth date (for John) documented, yet. GGGF John married Margaret Taylor. They lived in West Linton, Peebleshire, for many years. Ggrandmother was Helen Brown Wood. The first person to come to the Americas, of whom I know, was my grandmother, Helen Wood Oliver. Ruth do you have a John Brown and Ann Andrews that would have been married roughly 1818 but definitely by 1821. My John Ebenezer Brown born 1822..it shows on the 1870 census "Lydia Longbottom living with son born 1802 Vermont" but on his death certificate it shows his parents as John Brown and Ann Andrews. His 2nd wife was Anna Andrews. Hard to know which one to believe. Carol Brown Parker Westfield NB Canada ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joseph A. & Ruth O.
