I'm happy to announce that the Brown/Browne/Braun DNA Study is now raising funds from its membership to subsidize yDNA testing among Scottish men. Specifically, we plan to take advantage of the July "Gathering of Clans" in Edinburgh to offer free 12-marker tests for Brown-surnamed men who were born and now live in Scotland or Ulster. We anticipate having the money to fund about a dozen such free tests. Then if matches are found, it would be up to the participants and/or their expatriate "DNA cousins" to fund upgrades.
