John GIVENS was born in Ireland ca. 1727, migrated to the Colonies, and was married in North Carolina, no date known, to Rebecca BROWN. Were Rebecca and her parents also immigrants at that same time? Or had they arrived, earlier? What were the names of Rebecca's parents? I find it very helpful to know her last name, since many of the ladies' maiden surnames in those years have been lost or not properly recorded!!
