Mortimer BROWN, daughter of F.D. BROWN and Molly HURT, was born in 1870, Hot Springs (Garland Co.) Arkansas. She married James Madison ROUSE there in 1884 (at 14?). I believe the BROWNS had a dairy farm that has long since been taken into the city limits of Hot Springs, but from what I have "heard" they were well known in the area for their dairy products.
