Hi, I am new to the list. I am searching for information about several Brown lines, but the major one is my great great grandmother, a lovely brick wall. I have the following information from the census records and a local history book: BROWN, Emeline b. 1824 in the state of New York. d. May 4, 1879 in Champlin, Hennepin, MN and is apparently buried in the Champlin cemetery in an unmarked grave. Married c. 1860 HASTINGS, Chauncey E. b. 1816 in MA Their first child was born in PA in 1860 and two others were born in MN in 1862 & 1863. Emeline and Chauncy raised her nephew Frederick BROWN b. 1860 in PA. He appears on the census with them at the age of 5 with his parents noted as having been born in New York (father) and New Hampshire (mother). I have no idea who his parents were other than apparently a brother of Emeline. Any help or clues would be appreciated. Jo Hogle
