Dear Sharon, This is what I found on George Clinton Brown. Born 5 April 1865 in Homer, Champlain, IL. Died 1953. Married Agnes Eliza Stewart 4 September 1889. His parents were David Brown and Eva Clester. This is from vital records at Ancestry.com. I know it doesn't match the dates you had for George but the spouse info matches. If this is your George Clinton Brown, he lived to 1953 and you should be able to get info from SS#.
