I have been able to trace back to 1860 census in TN, Tipton County and have been able to go no further for several years. Here is my problem family. Sylvester L Brown age 34 b. NC, Elizabeth A age 30 b. TN, Charles L age 3 b. TN, Thomas (W or H) age 2 B. TN, Thomas ( W or H) Jr age 68 b. NC. Sylvester died 1861 and Elizabeth Ann Yarbro Brown remarried to G W Walton in Tipton Cty. My ggrandfather was Charles Leonzo Brown who died in Jones Cty TX. He was married to Winnie Stewart in Tipton Cty and she also died in TX. Thomas Jr was probably Sylvesters father and trying to find a Thomas Sr in NC has been impossible for me. There are many of them. Any of this ring any bells? Ron Kidd
