(BROWN was born c1756, son of William BROWN of Essex County, VA. Stark married in Bedford County VA, May 8, 1779, after service in the Revolution (S 315561), Tabitha REYNOLDS (also given as RIGBY), with James GATEWOOD as surety for the bond; GATEWOOD, Stark's guardian after the death of William BROWN, was of a family subsequently in Henry County, VA, and in Georgia.)...........................................
