William Edgefield Brown b. 1809 in GA, d. Jan. 1901 in Atlanta m. Lerah Elizabeth Messick (b. 1816 NC. d. Nov. 1891) 28 April 1839 Children: Simmeon, Harriet, Edward, Mary J., Nancy Ann Elizabeth b. 15 Mar. 1846, Amy E., James J., Joseph D., K(?) W., Martha C. I know that Edgefield and family were in Dekab Co., GA. in 1850, Fulton Co, GA, in 1860 and Alabama in 1870. I was told that Edgefield had 14 children and during the final years of his life he lived with his daughter Mrs. James S. Porter(Nancy Ann) in Atlanta. Pam
