The following MARTIN family was found in the 1850 census of Madison Co FL. It appears they may have come to FL from GA about 1843. Who was Mary Martin, and who was the Charles Martin? There was a John Martin, died at age 62 in the 1850 Mortality Schedule of Madison Co, was he the father of this family? This same family was apparently counted in Jefferson Co FL in 1850, less the mother, Mary Martin. Ring any bells???
