    1. [BROWN] Sarah Brown, Braun, Brewer?/Fields
    2. Patience Northern
    3. I found my Sarah Brown first in the Baywood Book (Grayson Co., VA). Here is what it says: Isaac Isaiah Fields, such information as is available indicates he was born in North Carolina, most likely Randolph Co. where six other Fields families lived. He could have been and probably was a son of one of them. Information on families as far back as the civil war and before is scarce. Many records were destroyed during the civil war. Not nearly as many records were kept in the early years. Census reports then only showed the name of the head of the household and did not include the name of the wife or children. Information indicates Isaiah Fields was born in 1799 or 1800. Also it is indicated that he was married to Sarah Broun or Brown about 1832 or 1833 and moved to Virginia in 1842. He first located near where the city of Galax now is. etc ---. They had 8 children: John Branson (born 1834-died 3-11-1909), Isaac (was killed in a hunting accident and was never married-born 1841-died 10-18-1868), Amanda (born 1844-died - she never married), Henry W. George (William) born 4-22-1848-died 4-1-1923, Adeline, Fidella (Della), and Millison. The Grayson Co., Va. marriage records has Isaiah Fields b 1809 m Sarah Brown b 1809, in 1832. I have Isaiah Fields father as Benjamin Fields of Guilford Co., NC as it was the only available one of the right age. No real proof. Got any proof anyone? I have nothing for Sarah Brown, Braun. I added Brewer because of the question about the brown spelling. If the handwriting was obscure Brewer has about the same number of humps or points if the writing is not clear. I have not seen the questionable writing myself. I need parents for Sarah. We have discarded the possibility of her being the daughter of Alexander Brown as his Sarah married Elijah Hambleton, had 7 children and is buried with her family. A disappointment as the time and place was right.
