Thanks so much for all the help that people have given me and helpful ideas of places to look for my GGG Grandmother, Rachel Brown Tate who was married to Joseph B. Tate. They had a son named Joseph D. Tate. Rachel was born in S.C. but was in Tenn. when she married Joseph Tate. Maybe we have some clues as to who her father may have been,. possibly a John Brown who served on the Contennial Line. Now I need to know more about him. A special thank you to Patty and Carol. You were a real help. I really do appreciate it and I always share all the information that I have with others.
