Rachel Brown Tate was the wife of Joseph B. Tate who was born about 1793/94 in N.C. --possibly Orange Co., They married on April 22, 1813 in Davidson Co., Tenn. Rachel Brown was born in 1799 in N.C. They had Zachariah Tate who was born in 1822 in Tenn. and he married a Martha Timmons in Ark. Brown is such a common name and I have no idea who Rachel's parents or siblings could be. By any chance does Rachel Brown married to a Tate sound familiar to anyone? It is so hard to find women in genealogy. Jane Little McEndree janemc@airmail.net
