Will Two: 16DEC1809 "This indenture made this sixteenth day of December in the year of our Lord, one-thousand eight-hundred and nine between David Wallace of Dickson County and State of Tennessee of the one part and John Brown of the County of Dickson and state aforesaid of the other part, Winnesseth, that the said David for, and in consideration of, one hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said John Brown, the receipt wherof is hereby acknowledged, hath given, granted, bargained, sold, alined, conveyed, and confirmed unto the said John, his heirs, and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the County of Dickson and State aforesaid, on a branch of the Leatherwood Fork of Yellow Creek, beginning at a hickory in an old line running west along said line eighty poles to a stake in a field, thence north 100 poles to a white oak, thence east 80 poles to a hickory, thence south 100 poles to the beginning, containing 50 acres to have and to hold the aforesaid land with all and singular the rights, profits, emolishments, hereditaments, and appurtenances of, in, and to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining to the only proper use and behoof of him the said John, his heirs, and assigns forever, and the said David for himself, his heirs, executors, administrators, do covenant and agree to and with the said John Brown, his heirs, and assigns that the before recited land bargained, pomises he will warrant and ever defend against the right, title, interest or clam of all and ever person or persons whatsoever in witness whereof of the said David Wallace, hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written signed, sealed and delivered in presence of, Selman Edwards his John Hodges David X Wallace mark State of Tennessee Dickson County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions April Term, 1813 Then was the written deed of conveyance proven in open court by the oaths of Selman Edwards and John Hodges, and ordered to be registered.
