The children stayed with Hugh when Amanda left. The children are named in the following group sheet. The first two died at birth. I had to hand copy this record as the record books are in too bad of shape to photo copy from. Missouri Death Certificate Cemetery Record Welch Cemetery Sylvester was not found on the 1880 census. He married 2 May 1878 in Dade County, Missouri. The next census available is the 1900 census and he is not found on this one either. His son Charles was born 1889 and the next child, Clara Bell was born 1892. Either Sylvester was on the move from Columbia where Charles was born to Northview where Clara Bell was born, and he was missed by the census taker or maybe he just didn't answer the door.
