For Carlene Callahan: I also have a Hiram Brown, but from your info., I know it's not the same. I don't know where he's from, or who his parents or wife were. The only thing I know of on my Hiram is that he is the father of my great-grandma: Alma Minnie (Minnie Alma). He also had a daughter named Ethel "Callie" who was known as Ethel Carlson as of 1947 & was from Tampa, FL. Ethel had a son named Robert. I was told that there were more children, but no one seems to remember any names. My Browns seemed to have wandered all over the place. IL, IN, MI, WA, CA, FL, & even Canada.
