John was the son of Jesse LADD (1781-VA) and Gillea SHEARIN (1781-NC) married on 25DEC1805 in Wake, North Carolna. Gillea was the daughter of John SHEARIN, Jr., and Elizabeth BURROWS. Her grandfather was John SHEARIN, Sr. Jesse LADD and John LADD and wives and families apparently migrated to Middle Tennessee, Hickman, Tennessee around 1835. Shortly thereafter, John and Elizabeth gave birth to Rebecca Catherine LADD (18JUL1838- Hickman County, TN.-22SEP1922, in Burns, Dickson, TN. On 12DEC1860 she married Andrew Jackson "Jack" BROWN (4APR1839-Burns, Dickson, TN.-13AUG1913-Burns, Dickson, TN. To this union was born Andrew "Jackson" BROWN (10SEP1877- Burns, Dickson, TN.-25APR1963) and, on 22MAR1900 he married Evalena LUTHER (4JAN1882-Beaver Dam Creek, TN.-8APR1967-Dickson, TN. My parents are Orville Matthew BROWN (8MAR1918-Burns, TN.- 11MAR1980-Taft, Kern, CA.) and, on 12OCT1944 he married Nellie "Dimple" HARRINGTON (2JUL1920- Bon Aqua, Hickman, TN. - Living, Age 80<<< I am the second child to Orville and Dimple, Michael David BROWN (8OCT1948-Nashville, Davidson, TN. and on 4JUL1976, celebrated a Bicentennial wedding on a Sunday, 4th of July, 1976 to Donna Lynn McCray (6JUN1948-Boise, Idaho). Here we have where Constantine LADD applied his warrant to James Chapel of Pike Co. It is most likely that he and the other listed warrantees sold their warrants to James Chapel.
