Brown family searchers; Isn't it fun to look for your Brown family ties. I have two distinct Brown Families. One is the Family line of Chaddus Brown 1600-1663, who lived in Rhode Island after arriving from England. He married Elizabeth Sharparrowe and had several children including Daniel Brown 1638-1710. Daniel Brown married Alice Hearndon and also lived in Rhode Island. One of his children Alice (or Ellis) Brown 1691-? married William Sprague. I have a lot of information on the Sprague Family, but no history to speak of on the Chaddus Brown line. Is there someone who can help me? Brown Family two is my direct Brown family line. Robert Brown 1791-1861 is the first person I have in this line. Would really like a whole lot more information. He was born in one of the Carolinas from Scotch-Irish stock and his father name unknown was in the Revolutionary war, we think. He settled in Blount or Monroe County, Tennessee and married Jane Dennis 1790-1866. They moved to Greenfield Missouri and were buried there. Thomas and Jane had a six children to include William Washington Ritchey, Mary, Nancy Dennis, Sumeril Dennis, Eliza, and John 1832-1916 (my line). John Brown married Albina Minerva Cowan 1840-1931 and had a large family as well. Aley Jan, Albert Lincoln, Sherman Alfre, Lueticia Ann, Robert Donald, Jasper Marion 1870-1962 (my line), and Charles William. They lived in Missouri and then moved to Rice County, Kansas where they are both buried. Jasper Marion was my great grandfather. He married Cora Profit (1875-1954). They had 8 children and moved to Harper County, Kansas and they are buried there. My Grandfather Carl Brown 1901-1985 lived in a number of Kansas towns and settled Harper and is buried there. He married Edna Lucille Wisler 1901, who is the GGGGG Grand Daughter of Chaddus Brown. I'm missing quite a bit of the detail of the family histories on both families. Carl Brown
