    3. Hey, there, List Subscribers. I seem to belong to the German BROWN family who moved into lower Guilford Co., NC. There are Frederick, Michael and George, all born in the mid-1700's. My last proven ancestor is Adam BROWN, b. ca 1792 d. bet. 1880-1900 Hillsboro, IL. He md. Margaret KIME, d/o Philip and Dorothy GLASS KIME. Adam and Margaret had 3 children: (1) Margaret "Peggy" b. 1815 who md. Abram CURTIS (2) Simeon, b. 1821 who md. 1st Sally DEVINNEY and 2nd Mary KIME and lived in Hillsboro, IL and my ancestor (3) William Edwin, b. 1825 md. Lucretia MAY, d/o David MAY and Catharine HUFFINES. Am looking to find Adam's father who might be George BROWN, b. ca 1765 d. 1849 md. Mary Margaret [last name unknown] and buried Richland Lutheran Ch. Cem. at the Guilford and Randolph County Line. Would, also, like to hear from others researching families in that area esp. Adam BROWN who md. Catharine CLAPP, d/o Pall/Powell/Paul CLAPP. Rand. and Guil. were formed from Orange and Rowan Counties, NC. I also have some info on Randolph County BROWN families as my Adam moved here in 1856. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me in this matter and I will happily share what I know.
