Dear List, I posted last week my brick wall so won't bore you again. Obit of my Great Grandfather James Harvey Brown in 1926 is how I was able to advance my search to IL in 1838. However I have stayed there in IL for 4 years now. Anyone with any BROWN family that lived in or near Charleston, Coles County IL in 1838 please let me know. Hi Carol, I just posted information to the BROWN list about John Shadrach BROWN in Grundy County but he also lived in Ford County. Have you seen any information on this family? I would appreciate anything you come across.
