Thence, south thirty-five poles to a black gum. Thence, west eighty-six poles to a poplar in John Reynolds line. Thence, south sixty-five poles to a hickory on Nancy McMurrey's line. Thence, along said line east one-hundred and sixty-six poles to the beginning, containing eighty-five acres, to have and to hold the aforesaid land with all and singular the rights, profits, emolishments,hereditaments, and appurtenances of, in, and to the same belonging or in anywise appurtaining to the only proper use, and assigns forever, and the said John for himself, his heirs, executors, and administrators doth covenant and agree to, and the said Edward Watts, his heirs, and assigns that the before recited land and bargained, promises he will warrant and defend forever against the right, title, interest or claim of all and every person or persons whatever. In witness whereof the said John Brown hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and date above written.
