Looking for your Josiah Brown B-1798 SC: Hope the following will help you. Looking through my file cabinet and discovered that I also have the 1840 census of Tuscaloosa Co AL in the Moore's Bridge Community. Your Josiah is there with all of his Brown siblings. He is on page 196. The break down is: Males: under 5 there is 1, 5-10 there is 1, 10-15 there are 2, male 40-50 there is 1. Females: under 5 there is 1, it shows his wife 30-40. In the 1830 census my Thomas P and Josiah are living side by side on page 314. As I had previously mentioned he is on page 196 in Tuscaloosa in 1840. My John P.S.(son of Thomas P) is B-Tuscaloosa in 1826, so I know they have moved from TN to Tuscaloosa by that time. By the 1850 census my Thomas and his sons and wives have moved to Winston Co MS. By the 1860 census they are in Smith and VanZandt Co TX. I do not have census for Winston other than my Thomas and sons. I am going in for Surgery Wed morn, so if you write back and I do not answer, please write me again. Good Luck Bill So :B- 1798 SC>>>TN>>>AL>>>MS>>>TX.
