I would like informaiton on the Burwell Brown's from Va. to SC to Ga. Somehow these all probably tie in to Burwell Brown possibly the child of Henry Brown, but definately the child of Mary (Batte) who married second Dr. John Peterson. Burwell married Mary Urvin before 1733 and had at least Urvin (Irvinne), Elizabeth and George. Urvin married after 1758 Mary Thweatt and had a Burwell Brown. Elizabeth married 21 Sep 1759 Brunswick Co. Va. John Cooke and had a Burwell Burwell had a brother Jeremiah-- born about 1690 married Elizabeth He had at least William abt 1740, Mary abt 1748, Burrell, Robert and Henry. The latter was of Craven Co. NC. Dr. John Peterson made his will 1 Mar 1731 Brunswick Co. Va. and gave land to Burwell and Jeremiah. To Burwell ''The plantation where I now live and two other tracts adj.". To Jeremiah of Sumter Co. 200 acres being plantation where Joseph Perry frmerly lived, in default of issue to said Brown.(And he gave to his Peterson children by name.) Other known Burwell's (Burrell etc.) Burrell born 1832 died Spartenburg Co. SC. son of James Born 1799 of Holly Springs SC died Va. This one married Nancy Arminta Stratton. He was a Twin and CSA. Ref. BROKEN FORTUNES Burrell B. Brown CSA was in Morgan Co. Ga. Burwell of Franklin Co. Va. CSA In the hospital at Petersburg Va Jul. 1862 also at Ft. Dillard NC Paroled from Pount Lookout Md. Burwell Williams Brown married Leurenah H. Cross born 1838. Her Family was from Northampton to Chatham Co NC.. Some of them -Raglands, were later in Henry Co. Ga. Can anyone add to this???
