Most of us searching for ancestors prior to 1800s realize that middle names or initials were lacking , and are painfully aware that the same names were recycled ad nauseam. In searching for the Williams', Henrys', James', etc in my Brown line, I was surprised to find two , BARNABY and MORDACAI , that are not common names , and wonder if anyone on the list can identify either of them ? Your answer could be the break I need to penetrate my 30 year old brick wall , since both Alleythear and Henry are known family ancestors.
