Maybe >someone can help me with this.---- The ages listed on the census may or may not be correct. I have one person whose age varies by 10-15 years from 1860-70-80. Also, someone told me that if men married much younger wives, sometimes they "deducted" a few years from their age (which I had never even thought of). Also, the numbers may not be read correctly...such as 3 instead of 8 or 5. I have even found where the sex is not correct. I try to view the original and decide for myself if the age is written clearly enough to be sure-especially if I have taken the information from a book or someone else's work.
