I am looking for descendants of JOSHUA BROWN in hopes of confirming my "hypothesis" of his descendants as follows: 1. Joshua Brown, son of George and MARY (STEVENSON) BROWN, was born abt 1748 in MD, and died Abt 17 Sep 1832 in ,Frederick Co., MD. He may be the same Joshua Brown who married Susanna 15 Aug 1771 at St. John & George, Baltimore Co., MD. All indications are that he lived at "Brown's Delight" on Cobbs Branch of Little Pipe Creek, Westminster district, (later referred to as "Brown's Plague"), Frederick Co., on property which he inherited from his father's estate. Possible children of Joshua Brown are: i.Samuel W. Brown, born 14 Apr 1774 in ,Frederick,MD; died 25 Jun 1840 in Franklin Twp, Columbiana, OH (66y, 2m, 11d). He married Susannah Bef. 1798 in ,Frederick,MD; born Bet. 1775 - 1776 in ,,MD; died 1859 in Franklin Twp, Columbiana, OH (age badly worn). Samuel and Susannah settled on Range 4 Town 14 Section 10 of Franklin Twp, Columbiana Co., Ohio, in 1807. ii.Oliver Brown, born Abt 1774 in ,Frederick,MD. iii.Joshua Brown, Jr., born Abt 1777 in ,Frederick,MD. iv.Daughter Brown, born Bef. 1790 in ,Frederick,MD. v.Daughter Brown, born Bef. 1790 in ,Frederick,MD. vi.Daughter Brown, born Bef. 1790 in ,Frederick,MD. What I am looking for is listed below: 1. Marriage record for JOSHUA Brown and SUSANNA on 15 Aug 1771 in St. John & George, Baltimore Co., MD. I need to know her maiden name. 2. A Will for JOSHUA Brown who died Abt 17 Sep 1832 in ,Frederick Co.,MD. If he left a Will, I need to know the Liber and page and the address of where to send for a copy of the Will. 3. A marriage record for SAMUEL W. BROWN to SUSANNAH, before 1798, Frederick Co., MD. I need to know her maiden name, etc. 4. SAMUEL W. and SUSANNAH's first three children were born in Frederick Co.: MARIA, b. 1798; a daughter (name unknown) born before 1800; JOSHUA b. 8 Jul 1800; and SARAH b. 21-DEC-1802. If baptism records exist, they would be valuable to my research. 5. From the 1790 Census record, it is believed that JOSHUABrown had 3 sons under 16 and 3 daughters. A JOSHUA BROWN and SUSANNA had two sons (per LDS-IGI files): Oliver Brown, born Abt 1774 in ,Frederick,MD; and Joshua Brown, born Abt 1777 in ,Frederick,MD.
