    2. I really hate to "bash" anybody, but I sub'd to Ancestry's 1920 census; it is not searchable, only browsable, and the states are sorted by county, and then by enumeration district. Which is fine, if you happen to know which county your ancestor lived in for that particular year; then, how do you translate the enumeration districts? I searched on line info, and there is a book that lists all of the ed's for each census year, and what it translates to in common English. The book costs about $150. I emailed Ancestry, with 2 questions: 1) when will their search engine be available; and 2) how can I translate these ed's into something that I might find on a map. I received a form letter which gave me the instructions on how to perform a search; like: click on name;click on county; click on Search. I lost it; since I am paying for this, I feel I deserve an answer to a simple question; and not a form letter which really insults my intelligence. I responded with the questions in Caps; and told them I do not want a form letter. That was the beginning of this week. I have not heard from them. I'm really disgusted.
