To MHoltz, I don't know if you listed everyone in the booklet mentioned below, but I have never seen such a complete list of BROWNS. I did not see the Brown I'm looking for, James BROWN b. Jan, 1, 1741 NC d. Feb. 3, 1818 m. about 1775 Martha VERNON. I am told that this James' father was William BROWN from England. He would have been born about 1717. I do know that my BROWN in NC were Quakers. Any help you can give me will be much appreciative.
