I am searching for the following families who have been in Arkansas since at least 1822. William Brown (b. 1796 NC/TN, d. Aft 1861 Independence County, Arkansas). His first wife's name is unknown, but she is listed on the 1830 Arkansas Census as being between 30-40 years of age. His second wife, who he married before the 1840 census, was Mrs. Mary Churchman (b. 1815 TN). To this marriage she brought a daughter who was deaf, Mary A. Elizabeth Churchman (b. 1838 TN). William's children by his first wife were: 1. Cornelius Brown (b. 1816 TN) who married Eliza Jane Spradling (b. 1819) on May 18, 1849 in Jackson County, Arkansas. Their children were: 1. Nancy E.
