    1. [BROWN] Looking for Huston Brown Connections
    2. Virginia
    3. Hello Brown Listers, I am forwarding this Huston Brown message to the list with Cathie's permission. Can you help? Perhaps you have a connection! She has plenty of info on the Woodson Long family and is not seeking information on that line. She can be reached at repete@rconnect.com ----start--- Trying to connect my Huston Brown (b. 1832) - via someone else who may be related via one of his siblings, parents, etc.........I have NO information on Huston Brown prior to his enlistment into the war in 1863 at Nativity, KY. His pension record lists him as enlisting as an Iowan. He married in Benton County, IA to Nancy Jane Long who was born in Decatur County, Indiana. Although I believe Nancy Jane was a grown woman at the time, she came to Benton County, IA with her parents, Woodson P. Long and Anna K. Waddle. I suspect that Huston Brown knew Nancy Jane while both lived in Indiana but when Huston was mustered out of the war in Feb. 1866, he came to Benton County, IA to marry his love rather than going back to Indiana. Huston and Nancy were married November 11, 1866 (same year as his discharge). I do not have the name of Huston Brown's parents or any of his siblings either but my fiancée's father told my fiance that his ancestors originally came from the East and hear tell that he thought they came over on the Mayflower or some other pilgrimage ship way back........ Since Huston Brown was born in 1832, records of such were scarce or, if they didn't, there was usually a fire or other natural disaster that destroyed them. Do you know of a way that I might find a Huston Brown's name who was born in 1832 in Indiana? Something that may give me a clue as to who his parents were? I am at a loss! 1. [BROWN] BOONE and BROWN in St. Francis co AR
    2. prechan
    3. Hello, I am still seeking info on the families listed below. Any ideas, anything will be greatly appreciated. Especially interested in Ruffin Brown and Millie Brown. Richmond Pearson Boone b in Barren co KY 1803, said to have been a son of John Boon, who in turn was the son of Jonathan Boon, an older brother of Daniel Boone , frontiersman. Richmond married in KY, perhaps Edmundson co by 1825. A researcher , Dan Boone of Pleasanton, TX said his first wife was Jane Riley. The first I found on Richmond was in 1838 St. Francis co AR tax list. He went bythe spelling Boon on that list and the 1840 St Francis co census, but on the 1850 , same county census, he had added an E. Dan Boone said he married a Millie Brown in the mid 1840's in St Francis co. Millie being born in NC ca 1806. I have searched the census for 1840 St Francis co and I found only one Brown, Ruffin 30-40 yrs of age with three children (all males), no wife. Perhaps Ruffin was a brother to Millie. In 1851 the Boones went to Bell county TX, listed on that census in 1860, Williamson co TX census 1870 and Kendall co TX census for 1880. William Carroll Boone son of Richmond married Caroline Brown. Artemissa Glover, granddaughter of Richmond married Richard K. Brown. Mary Belle Boone, granddaughter of Richmond married .....Brown, lived at Floresville , Wilson co TX. I know that Richard K. and Caroline Brown were brother and sister. Was the unknown Brown another brother? Also, was there a connection from them to Millie Brown? Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks, Pat in OK prechan@sirinet.net

McAfee.com recommends that you scan your system to check for infection. 1. W32/Badtrans@MM is a mass-mailing worm that spreads via the email program MS Outlook. This worm creates an Outlook object that sends an infected document as a reply to all unread email messages. If the attachment is opened, the worm displays a message box: Title: Install error Message: File data corrupt: probably due to a bad data transmission or bad disk access. Once running, the Trojan attempts to mail the victim's IP Address to the author. When this information is obtained, the author can connect to the infected system via the Internet and steal personal information such as usernames, and passwords. In addition, the Trojan is capable of capturing other vital information such as credit card and bank account numbers. Once running, the program attempts to email itself to everyone in the Outlook Address book repeatedly, until the worm is removed from the system. The email message appears as follows: Subject: Matcher Body: Want to find your love mates!!! Try this its cool... Looks and Attitude Maching to opposite sex.
