    2. Mary: thanks for the info. Our clans may have collided in the Old Country, but our folks were probably here well before 1800, although I think they may have been pretty ethnic Germans. With our Haplogroup of E3b, it's more than likely that they were from somewhere down near Italy -- or migrated early. Thanks and best regards, Jim Patrick

    2. Mary: Our Braun/Brown family may have been in York Co PA or Lancaster Co PA in the late 1700s, before migrating to Rockingham Co VA, where we believe they were members of Frieden's Church (Lutheran). After Virginia, they were in Greene Co TN, followined by White Co TN and Harrison Co Indiana, then settling finally in Fulton County Illinois. They were accompanied by collateral families Trobaugh, Hull/Holl, Lingenfelter, Shields. I have lots of information if you think it's worthwhile to do a comparison. 3. Jim, My Braun/Brown family came from Seltz, Alsace in 1828 to Philadelphia. The mother of the seven children dies traveling from Penn. to Hanover, Ohio. There Braun marries Schenberg in Ohio 1830. The family goes in different directions. Some stayed in Ohio, others moved to Indiana then onto Kansas. Others went to Wisconsin (my line) and died there. I don't know if there is a connection. I do know that my Braun family came over alone to the US. I have there immigration records and actually found there home town from a record in France. From there I was able to get all there birth and marriage certificates. Mary [email protected] wrote: Mary: Our Braun/Brown family may have been in York Co PA or Lancaster Co PA in the late 1700s, before migrating to Rockingham Co VA, where we believe they were members of Frieden's Church (Lutheran).
