    1. [BROWN] Brown's from Darvel & Loudoun & Galston Scotland.
    2. Ken & Alice Brown
    3. My Brown and Morton ancestors came from the Darvel area of East Ayrshire. I know many descendents went to the U.S.A. and am seeking information. John Brown born 1770 married Helen Morton about 1795. Children: Mary 1796, William, 1797, Matthew 1800, John 1802, Agnes 1804, Helen 1806, Isobel 1809 and Thomas 1811. John died abt 1795. My direct ancestor Matthew married Mary McGill at Galston in 1820. Born in Kilmarnock were John 1820, Isabella abt. 1843, Andrew abt. 1821, james abt. 1835, Matthew abt. 1839 and Alexander abt. 1840. I believe I may have American cousins because there is an entry for the Mormon church at Idaho Falls for John Brown and Helen Morton and children. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ken Brown.

    3. Hi My Brown line stems from this couple John and Elizabeth Howland had a dau Lydia who married James Brown son of John Brown and Dorothy Kent, their son James marriee Margaret Dennison, son William m Elizabeth Long, aon Amos m Rebecca Wilmarth, son Amos m Rachel Reed, dau Rachel m Elnathan Barnes in West Stockbridge, Mass I locaterd the graves of the Amos Browns and their families at West Stockbridge, The prior generationsa claimed Rehoboth Mass as home. The Barnes family goes Aaron Brown Barnes,m Lovina Van Deusen, Emma Barnes m John C Dayton, Margaret Dayton ,m Leon Van Buskirk, then John c me. My Brown line disappears after Rachels generation. my problem s where did they all go! Rachel herself left a record, probsably from a Bible listing her own brotherw sisters, aunts and uncles datred 1875. I gleaned the above direct line from on line genealogical sources. I am sure there must be some others around, I knew there was no connedction with the earlier posts in the south, nor with later immigrtants, so held back until someone came in with a similar connection. I will share what I have. I have to use family tree maker reports via attachments, so cannot send to the mailing list. E-mail me directly so i can reply to you directly. 3. The Abraham Sampson Descendant Report on www.PilgrimHenrySamsonKindred.org <http://www.pilgrimhenrysamsonkindred.org/> has been updated and now runs well over 600 pages in a free downloadable PDF. It is based on the PHSK's 16,100+ individual "Abraham Sampson Source Database." In its "all name index," running from page 537-646, nearly all the Pilgrim surnames appear, Abraham's descendants having married into those Pilgrim's lines. Sons Abraham Jr. and Isaac Sampson married granddaughters of Pilgrims John Alden and Myles Standish, and Isaac and Lydia Standish Sampson's daughter Priscilla married Jabez Fuller, great-grandson of Pilgrim Samuel Fuller. As an example, should you locate, say, a great-great-grandparent of yours among the hundreds of other included surnames, you might find a line back to Abraham or a Pilgrim. Samples are posted of other reports (Ahnentafel, pedigree or ancestor) that are available. These are provided by PHSK to raise funds to place memorials to Abraham and Pilgrim Henry in the parish churches where they were, respectively, baptized in Campton and Henlow, Bedfordshire, England. There are hopes to dedicate the Pilgrim Henry Samson memorial in St. Mary the Virgin Church in Henlow in September 2007 during the General Society of Mayflower Descendants tour at that time of Holland and England. This is the same church in which Elizabeth Tilley, the eventual wife of Pilgrim John Howland, was baptized. The Abraham Sampson Descendant Report will be upgraded again in the near future.

    2. I have Josias Brown, married Hannah Mitchell, Josias served with the PA Militia from Cumberland County, PA. He is well documented but no parent information. Josias was born in 1744, where is unknown. Somewhere between 1744 and 1620 lies the mystery. The Clement Brown is supposed to have come to MA shortly after the Pilgrams landed in 1620. Jan
