    2. Hi Wanda, I also have Abel BROWN in my line. Where is you web site? I would like to look at it to see if my Abel ties into yours. My Abel was born in NJ in 1768 and married Lydia Stuckey. Others have said he married a Hannah Cree, but they can not show a source for Hannah and Abel, just saying they got it from so and so. Abel & Lydia marriage is the only one I found with a source that was extracted from the original records in NJ. My line goes as follows; Abel, Isaac, Abel, James, Raymond, Marjorie, George (me.) My Abel came to Ohio about 1805 according to land records from Belmont co., Ohio. George

    3. I don't know who all my Brown's are. Haven't worked on them for awhile, with the Holidays. You can look at my web site, if you want. I have 2 Brown lines. Does anyone belong to the Abel Browne line? He came to America in the 1600's I think. His line was easier than the other one. Everyone has my John Brown who md. Sarah Cress, all mixed up. 2. Oh, Kathie ditto RE the frustration of not being able to tie in those lines. Its crazy when you know a person existed and can't find them! Hi Sandi, Well, I can throw in Hanks, Nolan, McGee, Kirkpatrick, McBane, Haskins, King, York and *these are all my direct lines.... *On my mom's side of the family, I guess we are very Scotch-Irish and English - and they were all here before the RW .... 2. CASSANDRA MITCHELL
    3. Kathie, Ironically I have every one of your surnames in my database. However, that being said, they are from all sides of the family and culminate in my grandkids. >Grin< They are not unusual surnames, as is my curse as well. Throw in Alexander, and it's just a shooting gallery out there hoping to hit the right one. Sandi Mitchell Menifee CA >From: "M. 1. [BROWN] ships passenger lists
    2. gggsonfred2
    3. >From another list >> Ancestry.com has extended the free search of the Immigration Records through the end of December, so you have another month to check out the collection and find some of those lost ancestors. I was surprised that they had ships that sailed into Southern ports and California (as well as, New York, Baltimore, etc.) This is one of those really free no credit card promotions (not like a free trial). You just need to give them your name and email (and no credit card) and you can start searching the entire immigration collection. Here's a link to the promotion and more details.
