Listers; My gggrandfather was Samuel Brougham FADDY (b.1817 India), son of Samuel FADDY and Elizabeth BACKHOUSE. I believe Elizabeth is the daughter or granddaughter of Mary HIL(L)COAT (dau. of Elizabeth BROUGHAM and William HIL(l)COAT) and William BACKHOUSE (m. 1775 Newcastle).
