I have traced my side of the Pearson family to Joseph Pearson b abt,1753. This date is achieved by working off the following records. Marriages Registers of Wigton St Mary's between the years 1781 and 1797 inclusive Marriage. 1783. There are a few possibilities near to Wigton, Cumberland around the 1753 date but which one ? That is if he was from that area in the first place. One possibility is a Joseph Pearson Christening: 08 JUL 1753 All Saints, Cockermouth, Cumberland, England - Father Richard. But one cannot be sure so for the present time I am stuck. Joseph Pearson and Mary Armstrong had 6 children all boys. Thomas 1783 - who died in their infancy John 1785 to 1871. married Mary Ord in 1818 Wigton.
