As the list admin I invoked privilege to change your subject line from a thread I'm hoping to kill to the actual subject of your query. :-) My request to you, and to other descendants of Thomas Brooks and Martha Hotchkiss, would be that you NOT respond off list, at least initially. One of the things we're in business to do is to link cousins with one another. My hope is that your visible connection with cousins will encourage other folks with a "brick wall" obstacle to keep digging. I hope anyone interested in this line will post responses to the list as a whole. Yours is what we call the Wallingford/Cheshire line, Thom, and you will find half a dozen cousins here. I'd encourage each of you to at least share an introduction in this forum. THEN you can take the nuts-and-bolts stuff offlist if you like. :-) Others can and will help you here, but a quick response is that there's one more generation short in this country: Thomas/2 Brooks + Martha Hotchkiss Henry/1 (1639? - 1713) Brooks + Hannah Potter (?? - 7 Nov 1723), wid. of Samuel Blakeslee You'll find a lot of information about this particular line in the list archive, the address for which was in your welcome message. Note that yours is NOT the only Henry Brooks that we talk about as a founder; Henry Brooks of Woburn, MA (c. 1592 - 1683) was also an emigrant progenitor. So you'll want to distinguish between the two if you visit the archive.
