Marta, you probably want to subscribe to VERMONT-L, where they've been doing all sorts of lookups recently, and ask what resources are available for Randolph. You'll probably get a lookup in response if you include the name(s) you're searching in your first post. I checked my own data for any Aaron born to a Henry, and found only one. Aaron/5, b. 28 Aug 1792 at Cheshire, CT, there married Caroline HOTCHKISS, 1828, and there died 1842. [Barbour and Jacobus -- reliable sources] This is the Cheshire/Wallingford, CT line. My 1790 U.S. census index shows one Brooks in Orange County: Theophilus Household 03-01-03-00-00 1800 U.S. census index for Orange County, Brooks listings John | Randolph | 10010-00010-00 Joshua | Randolph | 10010-00010-00 Timothy | Randolph | 10010-10010-00 Vermont conducted state censuses in 1791, 2 and 5. Within these, however, the only Brooks households are Samuel and Samuel Jr. at Fairfield, Addison, VT, 1792. No Henry Brooks is found in any of the above censuses anywhere in Vermont. Sorry. Since I have the CDs out, I'll post the BROOKS listings from these censuses to the list in a few minutes so that they will be available in the list archive for general reference. Chris
