I'm have just started tracking down some of our family history. And I am hoping that someone will be able to help me out. I'm trying to track down information on a John D Brooks he was Born about 1800 lived and died in Cornwall NY. His wife was named Mary she was born in 1808. I think his fathers name may have been Samuel He had 9 children John J John died in 1913 and is buried in Cornwall, NY Samuel Mary E Martha 1850 - 1928 Married Levi Terwilliger, Died in Cornwall, NY William Sayers 1842 1926 Died in Cornwall Thirza Born 1837 - 1912 Died in Cornwall Homer C Caroline 1842 1913 Sarah Jane 1836 - Oct 4 1911 Buried in Cornwall, NY His Son Willian Sayers Brooks Married Ada M Arcularius 1856 - 1939 And had 6 Children William Hill 7/9/1879 - 1/13/1954 My Great Grandfather Maude S Fredrick Died in Rockland County NY James Died in Rock County NY Ada M Ella 1886 - 1897 Died in NYC Any and all leads will be appreciated. Sorry, I don't recognize your man. I don't know which county Cornwall is in, but the census index I posted earlier this evening will tell you what heads of household were in the county in 1800.
