Lemuel the father, a Revolutionary soldier who married Hannah RAYMOND and lived at Norwalk, is Lemuel/4f on the Tributaries website. (The "f" suffix designates the Fairfield County line.) Of his 10 children, Eli/5, b. 1783, d. in 1786 (Barbour Collection, Norwalk), so he's not your connection. Another of his children, Lemuel/5, b. Norwalk 1767 (Barbour), there married, 1788, Lydia BENEDICT, with whom Barbour shows 4 children. One of these, Eli/6, b. 23 Aug 1792 at Norwalk (Barbour), could by date alone be the father of your Julia. I have nothing more on Eli/6 beyond his birth, indicating that he removed somewhere. Have you looked in the 1850 census for men named Eli Brooks of the right age? If not Barbour, what's your source for Julia's birth in 1824 at Norwalk? As for Julia herself, I've only found one such person in Barbour's Norwalk listings, and that's Julia/6 (Henry/5, Lemuel/4), who was born there 6 Apr 1794. I don't have Reuben Rogers either. Moving on to the Desperation Department: Where did Reuben/Julia live, and what were the given names of their children? (We might get lucky with a recognizable naming and/or migration pattern.)
