Dear Chris and List, I found the John Brooks' House on the National Register of Historic Places (see below). However, it is not vacant as the register reads, the caretaker of the museum has lived in the upstairs portion for 20 years. I found an article in the NY Times dated April 8, 1984 which stated the house was in process of being restored and classes related to colonial times would be scheduled in the house. Guess that never happened when the museum decided to change themes. I will get in touch with the executive director next week, she is due to return from a family emergency on Tuesday.
