FYI: The Kansas public library system offers online access to the Heritage Quest database for card holding members. Anyone (even out of state) can obtain a card, but it has to be done in person using valid ID. After that, you can access via internet. I believe you have to renew in person once per year. Thus, even for non-residents, if you can stop by a Kansas library & register for online access, you're set.
