    3. Hi Joyce, I have used the NEHGS for a little over a year now and have found it very useful. It is slow sometimes, but for the most part easy to use. I just did a search on NEHGS and it is much slower today, 7:40 PM on the West Coast, than usual. I suspect it is like Chris indicated there are a lot of people trying to take advantage of the free time. I have found NEHGS very helpful for my Massachusetts ancestors and somewhat helpful for some in NH and Maine. I was able to track several family back to the 1630s in Massachusetts just from the Register. The vital statistics they have available are very useful as well, especially the Mass Vital Records 1841 to 1910. For many of the indexed entries you can view the original document and possibly get the names of parents, place of birth etc. But, again this is for ancestors who lived in Massachusetts. NEHGS has also been very helpful because it provides access to Heritage Quest, which is great. I am sorry it hasn't worked well for you during this time, but I would not judge it by this one experience. Chris is right sometimes if you use it at off times it is much faster. Best of luck in your search. Take care, Joyce Joyce & Bill Manuel <southern_heart_ranch@juno.com> wrote: Well I am in on the NEHGS site (free for the 2 days)and I am not at all happy. Seems like I just get where I want to be and the server of the NEHGS takes a crap and says The page cannot be displayed. :-( So all in all I haven't found anything of use yet. Does this site always do this for even the people that pay, cause if it does it sure wouldn't be worth my money and time. It just bothers me when things don't work right. Hummmmmm!! Sorry to vent but I have been fighting this sight for 5 hours now and I give up!
