Hello Carol, According to my records, Noah E. Brooks was b.5 Jan 1800 in Morris Twp, Greene Co, PA, moved to Richland Co, OH and then to DeKalb Co, Indiana (1840 and 1850 census reports) rather than Illinois. Noah E. married to Rachel Day. Their children: John and James, born PA, and Barkley F., William D., Hannah, Lydia, Simon Neal, born OH. The second wife, Lydia H. Abbott. Children: Adelia, Martin V., George W., Sarah A., Silas N., and Calvin. All but Calvin were born DeKalb Co, IN. Calvin was b.WI. The 1850 census says that the children were born in PA, but that doesn't make sense. The 1860 says they were born in IN. Kris Bomersbach
