I'll swap with you. :-) John's death: Inv. of Est. of John Brooks who d. 22 Nov 1714, dtd 7 Dec 1714, pres. by Thomas Lewis & Pelatiah Mason, Exec. Apprs: Joseph Mason, William Wood & William Anthony [3:214/15] Source: Rounds, H.L. Peter. Abstracts of Bristol County, Massachusetts Probate Records. Baltimore: Genealogical Publishing Co., 1987, 2 vols. I'm interested in proof of Tabitha's identity, and the marriage date and location. So far all I have is the mention of a 2d wife Tabitha in the probate. Please respond to the list (Reply All) and not to me privately. BTW, list messages to your address have been bouncing to your address for a couple of days. You might want to visit the list archive to see what you missed, though there's been nothing on this line recently. I found proof that John Brooks married Tabitha Wright on August 16, 1711 in Swansea, Bristol, MA. The notation is in Book A, records of the town of Swansea, 1662 to 1705, edited by Alverdo Hayward Mason and published by East Braintree, Massachusetts: A.H. Mason, 1900. The book is microfilmed by the Mormons, FHL US/CAN Film (903395 Item 6). Just to the side and above her name is a notation: (New York). ----- Original Message ----- From: "Christopher Brooks" <trib@tributaries.org> To: <BROOKS-NE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, April 02, 2005 1:53 PM Subject: Re: [BNE] John Brooks, son of Timothy > On Sat, 2 Apr 2005 12:38:58 -0500, Ann Kessler wrote: > > > I am looking for John Brooks, b 1662 in Woburn, who was > > the son of Timothy Brooks. On April 2 you sent me an abstract of John's will. Thank you. It states: Cousin Mary Salisbury dau of my sister Mary Salisbury dcd. Cousin Samuel Salisbury brother of my said Mary Salisbury. Was Mary Salisbury his sister Mary Brooks b. 10 Dec 1677? Were Cousin Mary and Cousin Samuel her children? Do you have any idea how Christian Kingsley of Swansea and Mary Brown is related to him? Thank you.
