I don't know whether this is any help to you, but I noticed from Families of Ancient New Haven, Vol. 1 compiled by Donald Lines Jacobus, the noted CT. genealogist, that Abraham Brooks, b.22 April 1743, baptized June 1743 CC (I think this is Congregational Church, but forgot the code), died 16 March 1805 age 63 in Steuben, NY., married 5 March 1767 Deborah Hungerford. Children, births recorded Farmington Vital Statistics: 1. Vashti, 20 Sept 1767. 2. STEPHEN, 13 May 1769 died 19 June 1849 age 80 Steuben, NY, 3. Jerusha, 17 Feb. 1772. 4. Cyrus, 2 Oct 1773. 5. Abraham, 23 Oct. 1775. 6. Deborah, 9 Mar 1781. The first 5 were bapitzed Bristol; also 7. Orrin, 28 May 1786. The ancestors go from Henry Brooks, died 1713, who came to New Haven, CT. and shows up in the records about 1685, and is one of my ancestors, to son Thomas Brooks born 27 March 1679, died 20 July 1732, Lieutenant, married Mar 1702 Martha (Pardee) Hotchkiss, born 14 Dec. 1683, died c. 1755, then Thomas' first child STEPHEN born 28 May 1703, baptized 20 June 1775, died 14 May 1773, married 6 May 1725 Hannah Barnes born 31 May 1702 who had 8 children the last being Abraham.
